May'd Arts Festival
The Geelong Advertiser, May 2023
Small scale community event solutions, roaming performers curated thematically by us, incorporating installation and other interactive experiences.
"Bring Out Your Barbies" is an example of the school holiday and family friendly activities we can devise for your next community program.
Using sustainably sourced salvaged materials, we inspired Barbie fans of all ages to get creative and be a fashion designer for their diva dolls.
Scoring a trifecta in Geelong's local media that week, featuring 2 front pages, it provided a well needed free publicity boost to the Geelong Council's school holiday program that September.
We also relied on the fantastic support of local Barbie afficianados who lent us their precious vintage dolls for the window displays that delighted passers by for weeks.

"There will be something for everyone in the Central Geelong Fun Guide. Council and Central Geelong businesses have teamed up to inspire and engage kids over the school holidays, and support parents and caregivers. Our family-friendly program offers the opportunity to get crafty, learn about nature, delve into the arts or explore your own story. Places are limited so make sure to book early where required.

Councillor Peter Murrihy - Chair, Economic Development portfolio
"Supporting local businesses continues to be important, as the region recovers from the pandemic. The Christmas period is vital for retailers, as they can make up to two thirds of their annual profits at this time. It’s been a difficult year for our hard-working retailers with staff shortages and supply chain issues, so our Black Friday event is a chance to support local jobs and businesses while creating a pleasant shopping experience."
